About Shri Vadirajaru Teertharu ( Bhavi Sameeraru & Kavikula Tilaka )
Shri Vadirajaru Teertharu (c. 1480–1600), also honored as Bhavi Sameeraru and Kavikula Tilaka, was a towering Acharya of the Dwaita Vedanta tradition. Born as Bhuvaraha in Huvinakere, Karnataka, he embraced sanyasa at a very young age and later became the Pontiff of Sodhe Matha.
A philosopher, poet, mystic, and great traveler, Shri Vadirajaru authored over sixty works in Sanskrit and Kannada. His ankita (mudra) “Hayavadana” reflects his deep devotion to Lord Hayagreeva. He played a major role in strengthening Dvaita philosophy, enriching Dasa Sahitya, reforming temple traditions, and influencing both Carnatic and Hindustani music.

The Moola Brundavana of Shri Vadirajaru Teertharu at Sodhe is a powerful spiritual center. Devotees believe that worship here grants clarity of intellect, steadfast bhakti, protection from obstacles, and divine grace of Guru and Hayagreeva Deva.
