📘 About Shri Jayatheertharu

Shri Jayatheertharu, also celebrated as Teekacharyaru or Teekakritpaada, is one of the greatest Acharyas of the Dwaita Vedanta tradition. Born in Mangalawedi (Mangalwedha), he renounced worldly life at a young age and dedicated himself entirely to the propagation of Madhvacharya’s philosophy.

He is revered as one of the Munitraya—the three pillars of Dwaita philosophy—alongside Shri Madhvacharya and Shri Vyasarajaru. His magnum opus Nyaya Sudha, a commentary on Anuvyakhyana, firmly established the philosophical foundations of Dwaita Vedanta and earned him eternal reverence among scholars and devotees.

Tradition holds that Shri Jayatheertharu is an incarnation of Indra with the Aavesha of Adi Shesha, blessed by Goddess Durga with divine wisdom and a writing instrument to immortalize Madhva Siddhanta.
